Valentine Cards and Gift Box

VALENTINE CARDS AND GIFT BOX  by Becca Rees

Hi there!  So my newest project is a box of cards I designed using the Sweethearts cartridge for Moniqe Griffith Designs.  I have recently joined her design team and am super excited about it!  Monique Griffith is an amazing designer and truely inspirational.  I feel honored to be able to work with her and the other amazing designers as well.
As for my Valentine Cards and Gift box project, I used Fancy Pants paper and had a ball doing it!  The paper is just adorable and fun to work with.  So there are (4) cards in this matchstick style box.  They're all different and can be used for just about anyone.  Each card has it's own personal matted insert with chalked edges and a bit of Daimond Stickles.  I cut the gift box using the Cricut Design Studio, which by the way is way cool.  There are so many things you can do with it.  Anyhow, a bit of ribbon and pop dots and wa-lah! Yummy goodness.
Oh, by the way you can check out Monique Griffith's website by clicking on http://monkeydoodlecricut.blogspot.com/.  Here, you are able to purchase any scrapbooking kits you want.

PS.  My next design is a dream layout using the Wall Decor and More Cartridge.  The paper is AMAZING and super delicious!  I can't wait to share this one with you.  Until then, here's a few of my favorite layouts.  I enjoyed doing them all.

MY LITTLE COWBOY

I used the Old West Cartridge to make this western layout.  I also used a Child's Year for the little boy with the rope.  My son was playing at the store while my sister and I did some shopping in Austin, Texas.  Truely a great memory and a wonderful day!

HALLOWEEN 2009

This layout was especially fun.  I used the Paper Dolls Cartridge and made a bunch of trick or treaters.  My son was Frodo from the movie Lord of the Rings, and my girl was a Winter Contessa.  I guess a princess, hmm.  Anyway I learned to fold the corner and expose another pattern .  I like to call that a "peek a boo".

A DAY AT THE FARM

I took my sweet kids to my dad's house in the country so they could feed the animals and visit some family.  They had a blast that day!  I used the Animal Kingdom Cartridge.  Fun fun!!

WELL, NIGHTY NITE FRIENDS!  YALL COME BACK NOW, YA HEAR..

Birthday Card Project

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD
This is one of my earlier projects.  My daughter's teacher was having a birthday and my daughter wanted to surprise her with a card.  So we designed the card to her liking using my handy dandy Provo Craft Cricut machine.  I put her to work on the envelope using spare cut outs from previous projects.  I used the Cricut Celebrations cartridge to cut out the chocolate cake and "make a wish". I then put two pieces of random paper together and topped it off with super cute ribbon.  Using ribbon is a good way to cover the seams.  And I'm a huge fan!  It turned out super cute. Both my daughter and her teacher loved it!

I'll be posting pictures of my projects as I create them.  So feel free to check in and check em' out from time to time.  See ya soon!
